Rachel Louise Cooke Reported Missing, Still Missing Rachel Cooke

     Rachel Louise Cooke was visiting her parents’ home in Georgetown, Texas, during winter break from college in January 2002. She was last seen in the early morning hours of January 10, 2002, when her mother left for work. Rachel, who was 19 years old at the time, is believed to have left the residence at approximately 9:30 a.m. to go for a run and was last seen about 200 yards from her home.

Rachel was wearing a gray running outfit, a green sports bra, Asics running shoes, and carrying a yellow Walkman with sports-style headphones. She is described as a Caucasian female, 5’3” tall, weighing approximately 115 pounds, with blue/hazel eyes and blonde hair with highlights and lowlights. She has a tattoo of two heart-shaped cherries on her left foot near her pinky toe, multiple ear piercings, and a navel piercing.

On the anniversary of her disappearance, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a subject connected to the case. After reviewing more than 2,000 tips and eliminating numerous individuals, investigators are now seeking information about a person who lived in the Georgetown area in 2002, traveled throughout Texas, and was associated with Rachel at the time. The individual is believed to have been involved in the cattle and horse industry and may have shared details of Rachel’s disappearance with others.

WCSO, in partnership with the FBI, is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Rachel Louise Cooke. Anyone with information is urged to contact WCSO at 512-948-2911 or the Cold Case Tip Line at 512-943-5204.
